Epiphannie Does The Nigerian Tag

I haven done a TAg since the middle of last year so I thought I should do the 'Nigerian Tag' as it was a tag I really wanted to do when it was popular but never had the chance to do.

Let me know what you think . . . hope you find it funny (because my mum did)

Makeup Video: Sidecar'd By Sam

Everyone knows about the blog wife, Sam, so there is really no need to introduce her (again anyway) so  I'll skip that lool.

I've been meaning to do a Youtube video for a very long time but I've really not been feeling well lately  so never got round to it. I finally gave myself a big push today and got round to filming a video response to Sam's New Year Eve Glittery Tutorial which was a super easy holiday look using Sidecar for the Urban Decay Naked Palette, that I really wanted to try out.
I am using my brand new camera to do this video and I haven't even taken any pictures with it yet but decided to just dive in and do a video, so the colour settings are not the greatest (as I had no clue what I was doing).
Eyes:-
Urban Decay Naked Palette Eyeshadow in Sidecar
MAC Eyeshadow in Folie
Bourjois Paris Extrait Intense Eyeshadow in No. 10
MAC Eyeshadow in Texture
MAC Gel Eyeliner in BlackTrack
L'oreal Paris Contour Kohl in 131 Jet Black
Eylure Naturalite Evening Wear Lashes in 107
Face:-

Ben NYE Translucent Powder in Sienna
Sleek Contour Kit in Dark
Illamasqua Cream Eyeshadow in Betray
Lips:-

MAC Lustre Lipstick in Viva Glam VI (6)
MAC Lipglass in Pink Lemonade
I really hope you like it even though it's not the best quality  . . . . Oops just realised that my makeup smudged round my lips where I had a sip of water looooool oh well

My Current Every Day Makeup Routine

Rounding up this week is another Makeup Routine Tutorial!! Yaaaaay!!

As my tripod and recording space hasn’t been disturbed since my Kelly Rowland Inspired Makeup Video on Wednesday (and I will hurt anyone who moves anything . . .took me 2 hours to get the camera position just right), I thought I should wake up a bit early and record my everyday makeup routine.

Although I’m wearing contacts in this video, I normally wear very large, prescribed, geek glasses so I do makeup to compliment my glasses. I don’t wear mascara on a daily basis as Mascara stains on glasses annoy me to bits and also I highlight my under eyes like crazy because my glasses can ENLARGE under eye circles like nobody’s business.

My First Youtube Makeup Tutorial

Ok, I'm having a mini attack right now but I've finally got round to post a makeup tutorial.

 YES!!!!

My first Makeup Tutorial  . . .ok it is an eyebrow tutorial and only lasts about 3 minutes BUT it is the FIRST and I am super nervous about posting this up because my camera was being silly and unfocusing all the time.

You might notice that I have a significant lack of hair since the last video I posted well . . .that's because I chopped it all off. I'm not sure if giving myself a very low cut in October was the smartest idea I've ever had but I really love how easy and carefree the style is . . . but let's get back on track.

Ladies & Gentle-frogs for your viewing pleasure, my first makeup tutorial . . .

Product Used

MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW40)
Real Techniques Detailer Brush (Core Collection)

Haul:- Drowning in Royal & Langnickel and MAC Brushes

As I'm forever buying makeup and I actually didn't feel like going through each and every single beauty purchase on camera, especially when I've already covered the majority of it in a number of blog posts during the month sooooo I thought it would be great to focus on  my recent brush purchases as I've (snail-pace) slowly replacing my makeup brushes in the last few months as some of my brushes are quite old and aren't working as great as they used to.

I originally wanted to do a blog post on the Royal and Langnickel Haul, but when I realised that the total number of brushes purchased went into double digits. I decided to cool my jets a little and do a video

Brushes Mentioned in the Video

MAC #163 Flat Contour Brush (Review)

Don’t forget, I’m holding a giveaway right now so if you want to get your hands on Love Goddess from the Limited Edition MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection , then best get clicking!!!!

September Favourites . . . and onscreen hyperactivity

First off can I just apologise for my hyper activeness in this video lool I ate a packet of skittles (and maybe a snickers bar too) just before doing this video so I was right in the middle of a sugar rush and I could have edited out some of the video to make myself appear much more calm but watching myself on a sugar rush is actually hilarious!
I don't think I really did these products justice in describing how great they are but I have already done some reviews for them so check out the reviews to get a better idea of what is in them apart from 'good stuff'.

My Makeup/Vanity Table Layout

I've been a decent blogger but a pretty crap Youtuber so Im trying to create a bit of balance and will be posting to me youtube channel Beauty By a Disneyvore every week . . . probably on a wednesday or thursday.

Today's video is a view of my makeup collection. I've recently gotten into the habit of giving away products I don't use off my desk to create more space for me to manoeuvre around because my typewriter takes up a LOT of space but enough chatting WATCH THE VIDEO!!!!

Time for the final part of my May haul video featuring clothes and accessories. The amount of clothes I've bought this month is very small compared to  my makeup haul video but at the time the weather just couldn't make up its mind what it wanted to be (kind of like how it is acting right now)

All in all, I hope you like my videos so far but do let me know what you think, I'm open to feedback.

Get to Know me: 20 Questions Tag

Hey Dolls and Dragons,

(Yh I don't know why I wrote that either, but It's a bit cute)

I recorded my first video on my new youtube channel Beauty by a Disneyvore

*Wooohoooo*

Honestly the quality is not the greatest because I realised over the Easter weekend that my house is actually super dark with any real natural lighting spots . . .not that the natural light was the greatest to begin with. Anyway here it is and I promise the quality will get better and better and also a tutorial is in the works over the next couple weeks or so.

So Check it out and Subscribe if you like

Beauty by a Disneyvore: Confessions

Noone ever takes me seriously when I first tell them I'm a disneyvore. I don't know if it is because they don't think the phenomenon actually exists or maybe they believe it just seems like an elaborate excuse for me to explain my fussy eating habits or maybe it just astounds them just how deep the effects of cartoons can play on a child over imaginative psyche, as I'm not a vegetarian and I kinda would eat anything you give me as long as I didn't have to buy or cook it.

Disneyvore is a term coined exclusively for me by a former colleague of mine to explain my eating behaviours. A disneyvore is basically someone who point-blank refuses to eat any animal that has appeared in a Disney movie or cartoon. So no munching on . . . .

Crabs ---> Sebestian
Colour Fish  ---> Flounder/Nemo
Venison ---> Bambi
Rabbit ---> Thumper

You get the idea right??

So yes,  I do know it is a really weird thing to be and I might just possibly be alone in my plight, but I actually have a very good reason behind this.

When I was a kid (I'm talking about 5/6), I was soooo in love with Disney movies! I just couldn't get enough of them. My favourite by far had to be the Little Mermaid. I love the songs, the characters and even slightly wished I was a mermaid. I was super obsessed with this movie and probably watched it day after day, for months on end. One day, my gran was babysitting me and it was lunch time, now there I was being all angelic sitting on the dinning room table, when she put down a crab in front on me. Now I don't know how my little mind made this connection but I was horrified. My grannie wanted me to eat Sebestian . . .that was practically murder!!!!!

How could she murder my favourite Caribbean-singing friend and expect me to eat his boiled and seasoned remains. It just wasn't right! Needless to say I didn't eat it and spend the rest of the evening balling my eyes out and my poor grannie couldn't figure out what set me off, all she could get of me was 'That's Sebestain' and 'I can't eat Sebestian' and she didn't know who the hell Sebestian was until my mum came home and told her. Anyway from that day, I have been super anti-crab and it turns out after the years ran on, I was anti a lot of other food. I know it's super weird but anytime I think of eating anything like Venison or Crab, I see a little cartoon character on my plate, I literally feel that I am causing a cartoon character IMMENSE pain (yes, I am very empathic) and it makes me feel a bit sick.

Now the reason I have gone into this story (apart from educating you on how weird I am) is to introduce the launch of my Youtube channel 'Beauty by a Disneyvore'. I know I have been putting off doing a channel and all but I have finally pushed myself and VOILA!!!! I am still trying to figure out how to edit the first set of videos (it takes sooooo long!!) so hold tight looool

So check it out and please subscribe.

Highlighting And Contouring Goss Makeup Artist Style

If you know your Youtube Make up Guru's then you HAVE to know about Goss Makeup Artist. He is absolutely Phenomenonal!!

Through immense stalking his Youtube Channel, he has taught me so many of hints and tips that I have are easily adapted into anyone's makeup routine. I swear he is truly a Social Media God-send.

One of my favourite Youtube videos of his, is his How to Highlight and Contour Your Face Video in which he uses cream foundations to create a natural looking highlight and contour without having to reach for a powder once. I think what he did was absolutely fabulous especially as when he is piling it onto his model's face, you get a lil nervous think 'Holy S**t! What is he doing to that poor ladies face??!' but in true Goss Fashion, he knows what he is doing and she comes out looking great.
With my face, I have really high cheekbones so I have a natural under the cheek contour, which is probably why I don't own any bronzers and make do with my Sleek Contour Kit but highlighting is really a problem for me as no matter what I seem to do, I can not get it right!!! Either I'm drawing too much attention to my forehead (which I really hate) or my cheeks would be beaming like the yellow track light but the rest of my face looked dull . . . grey paint drying on the walls dull!!!!
I used the lighter concealer to frame my eyebrows,  highlight my nose, t-zone, above my cheeks and above my jawline while using the darker concealer underneath my cheekbone, my jawline and to frame my nose.
Although I didn't use as dark a concealer as I was instructed to in his video, the effects were . . . AMAZING!!!!! I'm definitely going to invest in a darker cream concealer just so I can try this technique again and see how it comes out.

Light Concealer: MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW40
Dark Concealer:- Darkest Shade on E.L.F Complete Coverage Concealer
Foundation:- Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in No. 16

What do you think?? Willing to adopt the Goss Style of Highlighting and Contouring??

WOOOHHOOOOOOO . . . It Finally Uploaded!!!

I've just spent the last 2 days trying to make a video and upload it on my new Fuji Finepix HS20 EXR, that I got this week.

As I don't normally do Youtube videos, it took me absolutely ages to do this simply because as I had problems with lighting, finding somewhere quiet, my camera video settings, angling my camera properly, uploading . .and lighting. I think lighting is my biggest problem.

So in the end (out of pure frustration) I settled on this take. I think I'm giving a lot of nose hole shots though looooool
Hope you like it but Feedback is always appreciated

Haagen Das Video . . . Better Posted Later than Never

I actually forgot to post this video, when I saw it lool  I'm super forgetful sometimes but onwards to the video. This is the video taken of the Haagen Das event that I went to at the end of July, (Review of the event here), I actually loved the event sooo much, I'm still eating lots of the icecream I hoarded from the event.

But without much ado, here's the video . . .

Hey Peeps (I've always wanted to say that *hehehe*)

I've finally got round to doing a haul video on the goody bag I received from the Ifabbo event. This happens to be my first video so I don't have the lighting exactly right but I guess I'll get better with every video I do lool
