Behind the Scenes | Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Photoshoot

Ok let's be honest.

If a brand launches 42 new shades of lipsticks, lipglosses and lipliners and invited you to come along and to take part . . . would you say no?
I don't think I have ever said yes to anything so quick in my life. It didn't matter what the little details where. Lipstick was involved and a quick trip to Luton (in the freezing cold might I add) couldn't dampen my spirit.

The basic idea behind the shoot was for a few bloggers to find out more about the bareMinerals brand, experience the products first hand by having our makeup done by one of the bareMinerals team and end the day with a fun photoshoot (that I happened to laugh my way through . . . cameras make me nervous). I've always wanted to do a behind the scenes photoshoot post and with the Marvelous Moxie Collection launching today, it seems like perfect timing but enough talk, have a look at my pics.

I will be reviewing some of the Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in the coming days, so keep checking back for that. If you want a peek at the Marvelous Moxie lips collection then head to your nearest Bare Minerals Counter or ONLINE!!!

Calvin Klein James x Rita Ora

The Rita Ora x Calvin Klein party was held to launch the newly refurbished Regent Street Calvin Klein’s Jeans store and due to work commitments I missed out on actually meeting Rita O perform. Dang!!!!!

It was still a great night out as I got to do a lot of celebrity spotting while listening to Pixie Geldof showing off her DJ-ing skills with a hip-hop set, plus Lois from Bunnipunch was giving the fantastic opportunity to design her own mannequin for the night *cue mannequin pointing and posing*

Braided, Wefted and Fused, Tatiana's Way

So, last night, while some of you were tucked away warm and dry with a cup of tea in your hands, Grace & I were marching through torrential, London rain on our way to the Tatiana Hair Extensions Flagship store in Highstreet Kensington for an insight into the world or luxury human hair extensions.

Celebrity Hair extensions guru, Tatiana Karelina invited us down to show off her new soon-to-be-released Avant-Garde viral video and also details of an accompanying ‘Spot the Difference’ competition video which sees the lucky winner winning an Ipad! There is no set release date for these videos yet but I’ll be sure to post them up once they are released because the viral video is actually amazing.
The highlight of the evening for me was watching one of Tatiana’s stylists hand make a weft of clip-in extensions using 4 different shades of human hair to custom match the colour of the extensions to a clients hair (highlights and lowlights).  The amount of attention and effort taken with each extension strand, piece, and weft is just amazing! I’ve never seen hand-wefted extensions before or seen someone make on either and let me just tell you that her hands were moving so quickly so if my pictures look a bit blurred; you know the reason.
Though I’ve heard about Tatiana’s hair extensions before, I’ve never actually gone to her flagship store before so I couldn’t help being a bit nosey and having a full on inspection of the salon décor. The small touches like the mounted, copper clock and of course the Marilyn Monroe glass mural on the far wall stuck out for me but I just loved how uncluttered and personal her store was (makes a big change from my local salon, I can tell you that for free)
I’m actually really interested in trying out some individual glued-in extensions; probably ¾ or a full head, now after talking to Tatiana and her hair stylists. Not sure how much damage it might do to my hair though so I’m going to do a bit more research on it and start saving.
Loving her Extensions something Fierce!!!

Have you tried out individual extensions before? What was your hair condition like after you took them off?

Push PR Winter Wonderland Press Day 2012

Sugar Snowmen, Scents of spicy mulled wine, and snow . . . . Christmas . . in July.

Yes, it does seems a  bit bammy to start thinking of Christmas especially as we haven't even had a summer yet, but Wednesday saw Push PR ( and some help from LSA International and Blank London)  transformed their showroom into a scene straight from a Christmas novel (fake snow and all).
I can't even begin to describe all the wonderful brands that where featured but I will add a slideshow of my pictures taken on the day so you can get my view on the gorgeous items.

Melinda Mulcahy

When so many things on the market today are mass marketed and batch produced, it is very refreshing to be introduced to a brand that allows you the freedom to custom-make your jewellery/gifts. Melinda Mulcahy is a jewelry brand designed to produce “quality jewelry” that mixes precious metals with fashionable concepts and colour, without breaking the bank

Their Mens A/W collection would be a hit for any guy into the ‘Big Bang Theory’. With silver necklaces and cufflinks stamped with E=mc2 even I am gunning after a few of these pieces
Ayten Gasson

For me nightwear & lingerie is a big part of the Christmas/Winter season. Once the temperature start to drop and my clothes get dark and drabby, a little secret pop of colour can really take your mind of the lack of feelings in your fingers.

Adding to beauty of their collection, everything Vintage inspired Ayten Gasson produces, from their lavender infused eye masks and silk underwear are British made. Also with a Limited edition eco lingerie collection made using organic and cruelty-free silk, Ayten Mustafa gives us something extra to smile about this winter

 Abilu Creations

One jewellery collection that stood out for me was by Abilu Creations . I have heard about this brand before and I am in love with their Chunky Monkey Charm Necklace and their insanely cute Charm necklaces.

I can’t recommend this brand enough as their stuff is stunning.
Chamilia

I can’t finish off this post without mention Chamilia.

Feeling like a little girl kept busy at wedding, with a bowl full of charms and charm bracelets links, this made DIY activity made my evening.

Chamilia is all about the freedom to create and design your own jewelry. Given a selection of necklace & bracelets styles and lengths, as well as various bead charms in any theme, colour or style. Your imagination is really your only limitation

I know it might seem that I am harping on about the jewellery on this post but I'm a magpie at heart and anything that glistens will automatically capture my attention

A Musical Evening with Ghost

*Hand on my heart*

I have never seen the movie Ghost before (maybe because when it first came out, a rattle and a bottle of milk would have been the centre of my universe) but judging from the twitter response I got when I announced this on Friday Afternoon . . . That’s not much of an excuse.

 Embarrassing much??!!

When I won ticket to see Ghost the Musical courtesy of Nazila Love Glamour and Amazing PR. I had absolutely no clue that it was even based on a film; I had seen the posters and thought that it looked really interesting, plus I’m a sucker for a musical.

So on Friday (being dragged along by my overly excited Mummy), We arrive at the Piccadilly Theatre in Central London, where we were greeted by the lovely Amazing PR team who gave us our Ghost the Musical tickets and drinks voucher for a very delicious and theme appropriate Godminster’s Aromatic Garden Cocktail and off we trotted to the American Airlines Bar to schmooze it up with the other bloggers and get my nails Nazilla  Love Glamour’ed up.

Loved by Celebrities and Lovers of the innovative, Nazila Love Glamour joined forces with one of the West End’s hottest shows to bring out a limited edition 3D Ghost Inspired designs. I couldn’t get a clear enough picture of my Ghost inspired Nail Glitz on the day but once I track down my picture on Amazing PR’s Pinterest board I will definitely do a quick update to this post. I am sooooo in love with my Nazilla Love Glamour Nail glitz at the moment and I can’t even describe it in words (I could describe it in lots of squeals, jumping and nail poses though). I will be doing a review on these sometime this week so stick around for that.
This picture is of their GB rocks nails collection which is perfect for the coming Jubilee Celebration, which btw I’ve already mentally added to my ‘I want list’. Their collections start from £14.99 to £29.99 RRP.
With a London cast led by Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, Matthew Warchus’ stage musical version of the Academy Award® winning film Ghost originally opened at the Piccadilly Theatre in 2011. Now in its second year at the Piccadilly Theatre, Ghost The Musical has been seen by over 430,000 people in the UK.  For anyone who has watched ghost before, you might already know what the musical is about but for those who have never watched it before, Sam (Mark Evans) is trapped as a ghost trying to communicate with his girlfriend Molly (Siobhan Dillon) through a fake psychic in the hope of saving her from his murderer.

And let me just say. . . .It is WOOOW!!!

The lighting!! The costumes!!! The sets!!! THE SINGING!!!! ODI MAE!!!!!
 All so amazing!!!
If the Cocktails, Nails and Musical wasn’t even enough to christen a great Friday night, we then got to go onstage and take a group pic with the cast!!!
Overall it was a great night and even though I did have a slight allergic reaction to the cocktail, I LOVED it.
Everything was sooo mesmerising and now I actually have to see the original film just so I can compare the musical and the film.
Don't forget I have a May birthday giveaway running at the moment, so while you're scooping this post, ENTER!!!!!
