#28kisses and Counting | Day 23: Ruby Kisses

Another MUA Cosmetics lipstick shade and this just might be the cult shade in their lipstick range as everyone I know seems to own this and love it. Can you blame them?? This shade is amazing and only costs £1!!!!

I could have sworn that I had already posted about this lipstick but I just couldn't find the post and I even had to resort to googling my own blog to find out if I had posted on this lippie before (a bit of a lazy way but let's face it, it still worked).

MUA Cosmetics Lipstick in Shade 1 is a bright, ruby red lipstick that has this 'one-size, fits all' thing going on. It feels a bit like a cremesheen but you can never be too sure as MUA Cosmetics don't jot down the lipstick formulation on their labels (which peeves me off a little). The wear time is not phenomenal on this lipstick but to be honest for £1 if I were to choose between pigmentation or wear-time, I would go for pigmentation.

I really love this lipstick and I actually don't have that much left in it before I have to get a new tube but its an amazing purchase for only £1

#28kisses and Counting | Day 19: Shaded Kisses

Another day, another budget lipstick from the incredible highstreet brand that is MUA Cosmetics. Let’s face it, any brand that can formulate a great lipstick for only £1 deserves a big pat on the back and regularly.  

I know I featured MUA's lipstick inShade 3 earlier on in the week but having been on 2 lipstick challenges in the last 3 months AND on a spending ban, it is getting harder and harder to choose lipsticks that have never been featured before on the blog or in a previous challenges, so in the next few days you will be seeing a few odd colour choices. Heck, I’m even tempted to feature MUA Cosmetics lipsticks for like a week since I have so many.

 Today’s kiss is the MUA Cosmetics Lipstickin Shade 10, which in all honestly feels a lot more luxurious and butter-cream like than I expected. I find that shade10 has a bit of a lip-butter / lustre texture going on as it feels a bit like liquid when you are applying it on but lacks the opaque colour of a typical lip butter so it is quite difficult to explain

I kind of wish that MUA Cosmetics would start adding descriptions to their lipsticks on their packaging, as you never quite know what you are getting yourself in for; lipstick wise, until you get home and use the lippie.  Anyone else agree??

#28kisses and Counting | Day 16: One Pound Kisses

Day 16 and it’s one pound lippie time . . . yes, I  am singing this in the £1 fish tune.

*hangs head in shame*  

Just in case you're not familiar with MUA Cosmetics line and my £1 fish joke flew over your head, MUA Cosmetics are a high-street/drugstore brand that have taken the UK beauty market by storm with their affordable but quality products delivered at a very low price. The MUA lipsticks are on sale for just £1(Amazing right??!!) and tend to either be a creme sheen finish or a lustre. I can't 'hand on heart' say if they have more finishes than this as I've only tried the colours that work with my skin-tone but out of the 6 or so MUA lipsticks I have, this seems to be the case.

Today's kiss of choice is MUA Cosmetics Lipstick in Shade 3 (Sorry these lipsticks don't come with names) and it's a bright pink lipstick that dupes MANY of the MAC lipsticks I have shown you in the #28kisses lipstick challenge but I can't help it, I love my blue-toned pink lipsticks (It's an addiction, I tell ya!!!)

I really love that at the bottom of each MUA lipstick they have a little container filled with your lipstick choice which I think is really handy as I can just unscrew it and dab a bit of colour on my lips with my finger for an on-the-go touch up.

Personally I really think everyone should own a MUA Cosmetics because let's face it, even if you don't get on with it, it only cost you a large chocolate bar.

How Sweet!!! A MUA Cosmetics and Love Hearts Collaboration

Anyone remember those chalk sweets with sweet lil messages on them??

You know, those lil sweets that every teenage boy gives his crush in the hopes of being percieved as romantic???

*Yeah, THOSE ones (¬_¬)*

Well on Monday (and just in time for valentines day might I add), MUA Cosmetics launched a Love Hearts collaboration based on the iconic British sweets. The pastel collection features 6 nails polishes and 5 lip balms, with sweet names that show off the core essence of Love Hearts Sweets and to introduce this new launch MUA Cosmetics invited us beauty lovers to Piccadily Circus to gosh over the collection and gorge on sweets (and cupcakes)

This event was extremely girly and with sweet temptations at every turn (it was so bad I had to drag Madison away from the Cupcake table).  I was lucky enough to get my nails done, sip on a cocktail and smooze around with my fellow bloggers

I  had such a great time tonight especially because I got a free manicure and I won one of the raffle bag (I got a love hearts cappuccino cup *giddy dance* bring on the hot chocolate!!!).

To celebrate the collaboration between two British Brands, and because I know some superdrugs can be a bit lazy when it comes to stocking their shelves on time, I am going to be giving away some Love Heart Goodies from both Love Hearts and MUA.
