Recipe | Colourful Salmon

In my house Salmon reigns supreme. It's one of those dishes that everyone loves and someone would take a large bite of the minute you turn you back.

I haven't come across anyone who doesn't like Salmon . . .  and quite frankly, I'm not sure I want to. Salmon is one of those dishes that I could trust a complete novice to make and not give me food poisoning. I promised Laalaa a week ago that I would make something with Salmon inspired to suit her vegetarian palette and true to my promise, here it is.
As I'm trying to be quite healthy and avoid fatty sides, I've paired the Salmon with a lovely colourful carrot, cucumber and red & green lettuce salad with a bit of vinegar on the side. Yum!!!

Recipe | Sticky BBQ Lamb Cutlets

Salutations,

I just wanted to quick say THANK YOU to everyone for all the support, tweets, virtual hugs (etc etc etc) with my first recipe post. It really meant a lot to me that someone other than the people in my family know that I can actually cook something edible.

Today's Recipe is on some Sticky, BBQ Lamb Cutlets that might not be as healthy as the Shrimp Salad but it makes a gorgeous family meal that everyone can enjoy (provided they are not vegetarian) and is a bit easier that the Shrimps to make.
This is a very simple dish as all you are really doing if plonking some spices together and smothering your lamb in BBQ sauce but it looks amazing and tastes even better.

Recipe | Spicy Grilled Shrimp, Onions and Green Bean Salad

No, your eyes do not deceive you, I am doing a food post.

I actually love to eat and I've been wanting to add a few recipes and restaurant reviews to my blogging schedule just to mix things up and bring another element of myself.

This food blogging direction has actually been in the works for a very long time. I've wanted to do this since last year but I've been incredibly nervous as it is very different from what I normally do and I'm not too sure how well it will be received but Laalaa and Grace (and obviously my family) have been really supportive and have given me a swift kick up my behind, so without further ado here's to a new "Epiphannie A chapter"

And
I have to admit I couldn't wait to finish taking pictures of this salad because it smelt sooooo good!! If you don't like onions feel free to jazz up this salad with peppers, cheese and nuts. I'm a fan of keeping this simple and tasty so there is less chance of me getting an allergic reaction.
I really hope you love my very first recipe for my blog. I was super nervous about posting this even though I went a very simple recipe. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions (constructive) on what I should to do make the next recipe layout better or even what to make next time.

Eating it up in Chelsea

That's one smart looking cocktail!!!
Saturday night, (after the TWOIB event) I went to Big Easy in Chelsea; an American-style grill restuarant and let me just say I don't think I've ever eaten as much as I did that night but the food was simply gorgeous!!!! And that's saying something because I don't actually like seafood.
A whole lot of lobster!!!!
After having a gorgeous Strawberry Margarita (made with a ridiculously strong tequila). The famo and I, sat down to a mixed starter of voodoo chicken wings, prawn crackers, corn chips, calamari, potato skins, jalapenos and tenders, and right off the bat that sounds like a lot of food but in person *wooooow boi* it is a lot of food.
How on earth did we get through all of this??
Highlight of the night had to be the mains. The twinnie's husband decided to order a fillet mignon, thinking it had to be the best and biggest steak he's ever come across but when his dinner came to the table, the absolute shock on his face  was priceless. It was the dinkiest steak I have ever seen!!! It all honesty it looked like a burger not a steak.Well the rest of the famo, (after laughing at him) decided to take mercy on him and shared our dinner with him. I swear after he finished passing his plate around, his plate looked like he went to a buffet NOT a full pledged restuarant.
His plate - Before
His plate - After (you can't even see the steak anymore)
Well it was a great night out and I'm going to post the last of my pics, all you foodies out there get excited x
