Review | Clayspray Pore Refining White Clay

I have never used a clay mask before. 

I haven't used one because my mum told me a story of how she once used a clay mask and feel asleep in it and ended up looking like a pensioner for almost two weeks  . . . and I don't know about you but that's a very effective shock tactic. Now I obviously know you are not meant to sleep in a clay mask but    my mum's story has acted as a deterrent for many years until now. A few weeks ago, Clayspray - a Spanish Skincare Brand - launched their Sprayable Claymasks into the UK beauty market and gave me their lovely mask to try out. 

The Clayspray Masks are very unique as they are 60-65% pure clay in an emulsified formulation. Normal claymasks only have 10-15% clay in their formulations so not only is this the purest clay mask in the world but thanks to the way that the Clayspray products are made and their emulsion formula, the masks last a lot longer than clays that come in tubs, sachets and powder etc. because they are not exposed to air the minute they are opened, they do not start to deteriorate and get all hard/ dried out 

I was give their Pore Refining White Clay Masque (RRP £44.50) and their H20 Hydrate Mineral Water  in a Spray (£17.50) to try out and let me just admit that these pictures were taken a while ago - as I still have hair - but here's a quick gif-torial on how to use the Clayspray masks.

My tip for using any of the Clayspray Masks is to moisturise your face with a facial oil afterwards as your face might feel a bit tight afterwards but I do quite like the results of this mask. I don't normally do mask's very often - once every month is fine by me - and I have never used a clay mask before this but I did feel that my pores looked smaller and my face felt very supple.

Overall I quite like the Clayspray Pore Refining Mask and think it's price-worthy but I honestly feel that the H20 Mineral Water Spray is a teensy bit overpriced for water in a can and I will find a cheaper alternative when it runs out.

Tutorial | Bouncy "Cloud Nine" Curls

To know your hair, is to love your hair and to love my hair means that you don't mind getting a face full of hair everytime you hug me. If you remember my CloudNine event post in April, then you will already be familiar with Cloud Nine "Know Your Hair, Love Your Hair" Slogan and their campaign to educate women about their hair types and the best ways to protect it during heat styling.

I've been lucky enough to be given their Micro Wand (RRP. £89.95) to recreate their Kelly Rowland Curl Tutorial. Now while I love Kelly Rowland and her hair with a passion, I honestly didn't have the time to do the micro curls that she flawlessly sports but I still did my best to give my 'fro the best curls I could in a 2 hour time limit.

I'm going to do a full review on the wand later on in the week but I just couldn't resist giving you a gif-tutorial with my cute curls *whips hair back and forth* As always if my gif-torial isn't clear or I missed anything out let me know and I might just make a You-tube video tutorial to show you how I did this

Lace Those Eyes

I’m not an eye-liner whizz. I have yet to master how to do the cat eye and get both my eyes to match so the idea of editorial worthy lace-rimmed eyes that probably took an experienced makeup-artist hours (and a very stiff wrist) would undeniably be out of my comfort zone . . . at least that was until Stargazer got in contact with me and offered me the chance to review their newly released; as in only launched TODAY, Sexy Eyes Temporary Eye Tattoo in Rose 3.

Yhhhh, I didn’t even have to think twice before I replied “YES!!!!”

The Stargazer Sexy Eye Tattoo works a lot like those tattooes that you used to play around with as a kid, in the sense that you place it where you want, dab the back with some water for 30 secs and then carefully peel off. I have never used a temp tattoo on my eyes before but considering I did this at 11pm last night (and my concentration levels were rock bottom so I ended up smudging the flick on my right eye) this was very simple to use.

I think these eyes would be amazing on a night out as without some oil and rigorous rubbing, THEY DON'T COME OFF!!

How to: A Valentine's Day Speckled Eye (Illamasqua Style)

I wasn't really planning to do anything Valentines days related this year but when I saw the Illamasqua Speckled Eyeliner Technique, I knew that I had to replicate it in some way.

Now I didn't have a white gel eyeliner and because of the spending ban, I'm not allowed to go beauty shopping til April (especially as I need to save my funds to go to New York next month) so I couldn't pick up Illamasqua's Gel Eyeliner in Scribe. What I do have are gold and pink eyelinera so I thought I might as well give the speckled eye trend a romantic feel with what I have at my disposal.

Sleek Dip-It Liquid Eyeliner in Pink

I really hope you like this tutorial as it is the second one I've ever done and boy was it a bit tricky to do loool. After doing this look I had nothing else to do except try and pair up this pretty valentine's look with a few Illamasqua lipsticks I had (I mean it's only fair after all) so sit back and take a quick glimpse at some lip combos to wear this look with. I've chose a nude (Illamasqua Sheer lipgloss in Provoke), a deep raspberry pink (Illamasqua Matte Lipstick in Salacious) and a cute red lipgloss (Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss in Besotted)
