Trend On Trial: Antoni & Alison SS'13 Inspired Look

While being ill really sucks, it does mean I get to spend my time surfing the internet looking for anything that caught my attention and of course catching up on my blog reading. Last week Alice from Super Gorgeous posted a few Rock & Roll Spring Makeup Looks that really inspired me and made me haul myself off my sick bed.

I really loved the Antoni & Alison SS'13 eye look which encompassed bright electic colbalt-blue eyeshadow with nude eyeshadow and no eyeliner or mascara. You would think that the lack of black (i.e. mascara, false lashes, eyeliner etc) would really 'dull' down the eyes and make everything look unfinished but there is really just something different about this look that I can't quite put my finger on.

This look is very easy to do. Taking MakeUp Forever Aqua Cream in 20 which is a bright electric blue cream eyeshadow as my base, I placed this shade on the corners of my eyes with a flat shader eyeshadow brush and took MAC's Eyeshadow in Bronze and placed that on my inner eyelid to act as my 'nude shade'. I really wasn't sure where I was going with this but to try and make my eyes look a bit more cobalt rather than royal blue, I placed MAC Eyeshadow in Stars 'N' Rockets on top of the Aqua Cream Base and blended it out.

My main problem with this look is that it really changed my eye shape but I didn't realise by just how much until I started editing my pictures and it looked like I was wincing in pain, so apologies that I didn't add as many pictures as I normally do
